Welcome! We are so pleased that you are considering MSCU for your child’s educational needs. Since 1962, we have been a community committed to developing lifelong learners, respecting independence, and positively impacting the world – one child at a time. Schedule a Virtual Information Session! The Virtual Information Session allows you to see if MSCU seems like a good fit for your family, and if your child is ready for the independence that Montessori education requires.
The Admissions Process
All prospective families must submit a complete application file prior to being considered for enrollment at MSCU.
All Applicants – The file is considered complete after all of the following have been completed:
1. Submit an online Application for Enrollment.
Online Application for Enrollment (Current MSCU Families Applying to Enroll a New Sibling, or Returning Families Not Currently Enrolled)
2. Submit the $50 Application Fee (please pay via cash/check/money order to the MSCU office). This one-time, non-refundable fee only needs to be paid once per new family – if enrolling siblings, please only pay the fee once. Returning families and families with currently enrolled siblings do not need to pay this fee.
3. Submit any additional required documents for the application file:
Kindergarten Applicants – Additional Requirements
– One (1) Teacher Recommendation*
Lower Elementary Applicants (Grades 1-3) – Additional Requirements
– Two (2) Teacher Recommendations*
Upper Elementary Applicants (Grades 4-6) and Secondary (Grades 7-8) – Additional Requirements
– Two (2) Teacher Recommendations*
– One (1) Student Questionnaire, completed by the prospective student him/herself, in his/her own handwriting and mailed or emailed directly to MSCU
*Teacher Recommendations must be filled out directly by the teacher him/herself, with no parental involvement. Please direct recommending teachers to the links above to fill out their recommendations.
Where Do I Send My Child′s Additional Admissions Materials?
All additional admissions materials (Upper Elementary Student Questionnaires, $50 application fee payments, etc.) may be sent to:

Alternatively, you may email a scanned copy of non-monetary admissions materials to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please be sure to put “NEW STUDENT ADMISSIONS MATERIALS: [Child’s Full Name]” in the subject line of your email or postal mail, to ensure that your materials are received and properly categorized.
Once all application materials have been received, your child’s application is considered complete. The following is a timeline of events after application completion:
For Fall applicants applying in the Spring of the previous year: We strive to send out an acceptance decision by mid-March or earlier.
For current school year admissions occurring after the start of the school year: We strive to send out an acceptance decision within 2 weeks of application file completion.
For Elementary/Secondary students, we may send out an invitation to schedule a further intervew with the child. The acceptance decision would then be sent out within approximately 2 weeks of the additional interview.
Once acceptance materials have been sent, families must pay the $400 enrollment fee ($300 for each additional child concurrently enrolled), fill out the online registration form, and sign the tuition agreement by the deadline stated on the documents in order to reserve their child’s spot. MSCU reserves the right to offer the spot to other applicants, if the enrollment fee and tuition agreements are not signed by the stated deadlines.

Tuition & Rates (2021-22)
Rates below assume a 10-month school year commitment, with tuition due monthly. If a family enrolls after the first day of school, the amount is prorated based on a daily rate calculated as the annual cost divided by 176 days.
