Car Line Instructions: Burwash Building (Upper Elementary)

  • Please enter off of Burwash Ave. and pull up to the sidewalk that leads to our front door BEFORE letting your child out. Students should NOT exit the car before reaching the drop-off point (marked on the map above by the stop sign).

Walking/Biking Pro-Tips

  • Please avoid obstructing traffic as you approach the Burwash Building. Approach the Burwash Building via the small parking lot off Regency Drive East, NOT Burwash Ave. 
  •  
  • Do not linger near the circle drive entry and exit points with your family or friends, as this hinders traffic flow and creates a safety concern. 
  •  
  • If driving and parking to walk your child to the front door, please park further down on either Regency Drive East or Regency Drive West. The parking lot off Burwash Ave. is for staff only. 
  •  
  • Please DO NOT allow your child to walk/run/play unattended/unsupervised anywhere on school property, including the sidewalk and street in front of the Burwash Building as you walk to school. This includes Elementary children. If walking with younger children to drop off/pick up an older child, please be sure that your Toddler/Primary Children hold an adult’s hand at all times when approaching the Studio Building.

Car Line Pro-Tips

  • Adults must remain in the vehicle when picking up or dropping off. Elementary children have arrived at the age where they should be able to exit and enter their vehicles without help from an adult. 
  •  
  • The parking lot is for staff parking only. Street parking is discouraged for safety reasons. If you need to exit the car for some reason please pull all the way forward past the circle drive and temporarily park alongside the Burwash building along the exit route; park far enough on the side so that other cars may pass you as they exit.
  •  
  • Even if the car line is long, please DO NOT try to pass other cars in line or allow children to exit the car before arriving at the drop off point under the overhang; this is an extreme discourtesy and safety issue to other families who are waiting their turn in line. Families who exit the car early will be asked to return to their cars and wait until they have arrived at the front of the car line to exit.
